RIPON, Wisconsin – With the upcoming 2025 less than two weeks away, the Ripon softball program has been picked to finish seventh in the Midwest Conference this season as the MWC Preseason Coaches Poll was announced on Friday morning.
Lake Forest has been selected to win the league after winning the regular season title in 2024. Grinnell, after winning the MWC Tournament and bid to the NCAA Tournament each of the last two seasons, has been picked to finish as runner-up.

A new era of Ripon softball begins in 2025 as
Emilia Jackson begins her first season as head coach of the Red Hawks. She welcomes in 11 experienced players highlighted by first team All-Midwest Conference and third team NFCA All-Region selection
Kayla Cruz, who broke the single-season school record with 17 doubles last season. Seven newcomers join the fold this season (six freshman and one sophomore).
Ripon begins its season on Thursday (February 27) as the Red Hawks face off against UW-Stevens Point at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Both games will be held inside the Hodag Dome in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
