GRINNELL, Iowa – The Ripon swim and dive programs capped off their 2024-25 seasons on Sunday, finishing off the Midwest Conference Championships at the Russell K. Osgood Pool.
Six individuals qualified for the Sunday night "B" finals session:
Ella Olive (200 back),
Natalie Weidner (100 free),
Cooper Herr (100 free),
Kiarra Kahl (200 breast),
Sophie Czerwonka (200 breast) and
Anna Bose (200 fly) all earned the opportunity to compete in the final session of the four-day championship. Both the men's and women's 400 free relay teams also swam Sunday night.
Highlighting the day was Kahl's 200 breast performance in the finals – her time of 2:33.14 broke the school record in that event, previously set by Czerwonka two years ago. She took third place in the "B" final on Sunday night.
The women's 400 free relay foursome of
Lauren Bahr, Czerwonka,
Sky Domingo and Weidner placed fifth with a time of 3:46.14. In the women's 200 fly final, Bose placed second in 2:42.79.
Olive's 2:21.79 prelim time in the 200 back is now the fifth-best time in school history.
The women came in seventh place as a team, while the men took eighth. Grinnell claimed both the men's and women's team titles.
