HILTON HEAD ISLAND, South Carolina – The Ripon men's tennis program opened its spring break trip with a 6-1 defeat to Stevenson on Tuesday morning.
 
With only four available players, Ripon (4-5) found itself in an early 1-0 hole after dropping both doubles courts to Stevenson (2-4). The Mustangs claimed three-set singles victories on courts two and three to clinch the match and take a 5-0 lead.
 
Stevenson picked up another victory on court one before Ryan Richter closed the match with a 6-4, 6-2 win on court four for Ripon.
 
NEXT UP: Ripon finishes its spring break trip on Thursday (March 20) with matches against Wooster and Nazareth at 8 a.m. CT and 5 p.m. CT, respectively.
