Ripon Looks to NCAA Indoor Championships After Final Qualifier Meet

RIPON, Wisconsin – The Ripon track and field programs competed at home for the final time this season on Friday and Saturday, hosting the Ripon Final Qualifier + Multi inside the Willmore Center.

With a spot in next weekend's NCAA indoor championships all but locked up, high jumper Ben Fisher did not compete on Saturday. On the bubble in the 60-meter dash, Jacoby Cefalu ran Saturday — the senior went 6.88 in the prelims and 6.85 in the finals, narrowly reaching his season best of 6.84 seconds. Cefalu did not run the 200 on Saturday, an event he should be safely in for at next week's NCAA championship event.

Additionally, right on the cutline for the NCAA indoor championships in the 800, Jenny Cortes went to UW-La Crosse to run at the Eagles' final qualifier meet. There, she finished with a time of 2:15.77.
