RIPON, Wisconsin – Alayna Sadowksa of the Ripon softball program has been named the Midwest Conference Pitcher Performer of the Week as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
 
Sadowska was key in helping Ripon start 3-1 in Midwest Conference play for the first time in 13 years. She first tossed a complete game, two-hit shutout at Knox on Saturday before throwing another complete game against Illinois College on Sunday. For the weekend, she threw 14.0 innings and picked up two wins, allowing nine hits and two earned runs with 11 strikeouts. In the process, she lowered her ERA from 5.86 to 4.53.
 
This is the first career weekly honor for the Oshkosh native and the first weekly honor of the season for Ripon. Sadowska becomes the first Red Hawk to be named Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week since Lexi Reetz was recognized on April 15, 2019.
 
Ripon heads to Maranatha Baptist for a doubleheader on Thursday, April 10. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
