OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The Ripon College football team is expected to finish sixth in conference play according to the 2025 Football Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the Midwest Conference (MWC) this Thursday, July 31.
Monmouth College narrowly outranked defending champion Lake Forest to take the top spot on the poll, with Illinois College and the University of Chicago tying in voting points to round out third place. The Fighting Scots enter the season with a 32-4 MWC record over the past four years, while the Foresters look to keep momentum from last season's undefeated run. The Red Hawks concluded the 2024 season with a 4-5 conference record.
Ripon College opens the 2025 campaign with a home game against North Park University on Sept 6, looking to avenge last year's narrow 41-42 defeat to the Vikings in last season's opener. Conference play for the Red Hawks begins on the road the following week, with the team taking the field against Knox College on Sept 13. Ripon holds a 9-1 record against the the Prarie Fire over their last ten meetings, with the Red Hawks winning the last six match-ups.
