Red Hawks Win Their First WEC Match

RIPON, Wis. -- Thursday night, Ripon College's Esports Valorant team defeated Lawrence University 2-0. This is the first WEC conference win of the season and the first ever for Ripon College and the Red Hawks Esports team. The Valorant team's record is 1-1 on the season. Coach Sotter believes that this team is dedicated to improving their skills and has already proved to be a formidable team in the WEC. All matches are streamed through Ripon College's Twitch page, please be sure to check it out and support the channel.

The team last night consisted of, Kayden Hardy (Chicago, Ill., Whitney M. Young HS), Madison Dicosola (Minooka, Ill., Minooka Community HS), Ethan Arts (Suamico, Wis., Bay Port HS), Ruby Rosemary (Green Bay, Wis., Bay Port HS), Hailey Sponholz (Milwaukee, Wis., Greenfield HS), and Makenna Brown (Machesney Park, Ill., Rock Valley College).

The next competition is Monday, Sept 29, at 6 pm against MATC. They will be competing in Rocket League and it is another WEC matchup.
