OSHKOSH, Wis. -- After setting a new school record in the 3000 meters, Joley Berger of the Ripon College women's track and field program has been named the Midwest Conference Track Performer of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.
Berger broke the school record in the women's 3000 meters on Saturday, Jan 17, at the Ripon College Alumni Meet. The sophomore crossed the finish line in 10:12.37, shaving four seconds off the previous record of 10:16.96 that was set in 2024, and winning the event in the process.
The performance marked Berger's second school record at Ripon, as she also holds the program record in the women's cross country 6K. Her continued success across seasons highlights a strong start to the indoor campaign for the Red Hawks.
This honor represents the first Midwest Conference weekly award for Ripon women's track and field this season.
Ripon returns to action at home on Friday, Jan 23, hosting the Red Hawk Opener. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4pm.
