MADISON, Wis. -- Ripon College wrapped up its 2026 men's tennis season Saturday at the Midwest Conference Individual Championships at Nielsen Tennis Center, with several Red Hawks competing across singles and doubles brackets to close the year. Ripon finishes the season with a 4-22 overall record.
In singles play, Ripon College saw its best result from senior Caleb Sippel (Appleton, Wis., Appleton North HS) at No. 1 singles. Sippel advanced to the consolation final and earned an 8-4 win over Illinois College to end his tournament on a high note.
At No. 2 singles, senior Austin Stevens (Mukwonago, Wis., Mukwonago HS) also reached the consolation final after posting an 8-4 victory over Monmouth before falling in the final. Junior Corey Mooney (Greenfield, Wis., Greenfield HS) followed a similar path at No. 3 singles, winning his consolation semifinal match over Monmouth.
Sophomore Kyle Flook (Sheboygan, Wis., Sheboygan South HS) competed at No. 4 singles, while sophomore Ryan Richter (Plainfield, Ill., Plainfield Central HS) represented the Red Hawks at No. 5 singles and freshman Emerson Hendricks (Ripon, Wis., Ripon HS) played at No. 6 singles. All three battled through challenging draws against top conference competition.
In doubles action, Ripon's top pairing of Sippel and Stevens capped the tournament with a consolation championship at No. 1 doubles, defeating Illinois College's duo 8-4.
At No. 2 doubles, the team of Richter and Flook reached the consolation final before finishing runner-up. Mooney and Hendricks teamed up at No. 3 doubles to round out Ripon's doubles entries.
The conference tournament marked the final competition of the season for the Red Hawks, who gained valuable experience throughout the spring and will look to build momentum heading into next year.
