OSHKOSH, Wis. -- Two Red Hawks have landed on the Midwest Conference All-Conference team this season, as announced by the MWC on Thursday, May 14. Juniors Crete Slattery (Lake Geneva, Wis., Badger HS) and Brady Wotruba (Pulaski, Wis., Pulaski HS) have been awarded second team positions, both receiving the honor for the first time in their careers. 

Slattery led the team this season in batting average, holding a .392 over the season, the fourth best across the Midwest Conference. He recorded 60 hits, the 10th most in a season for the program ever, 17 doubles, tied for 4th most in program history, and 4 home runs. His hitting resulted in 48 RBI, the fourth most from any player in the conference. Slattery's strong play includes a nearly .180 improvement at the plate from last season, earning him the a spot on the All-Conference list in a Utility position. 

Wotruba made his mark as Ripon's most effective pitcher this season, recording the 4th best ERA in the conference among starters (4.68). Wotruba pitched 59.2 innings for the Red Hawks, striking out 34 batters, and recorded a save in Ripon's win over Lawrence.
