GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Junior Nadiyah Huizar (Buena Park, Calif., Buena Park HS) and sophomore Maddie Heisler (Appleton, Wis., Appleton East HS) have been awarded Academic All-District honors by College Sports Communicators (CSC), as announced this Tuesday, May 26. 

Requiring student-athletes to maintain a GPA above 3.5 while playing in at least 90% of team contests (or starting at least two-thirds of contests), Academic All-District honors are awarded to sophomores and above in recognition of their athletic and academic achievement. Huizar, a middile infielder and catcher, appeared as a starter in 37 of Ripon's 38 games this season. Heisler, an outfielder, also appeared as a starter in 37 of Ripon's games.
