Brendan McCoy

Brendan McCoy is in his first season as an Assistant Coach with Ripon's Men's Basketball team.

McCoy is a 2017 graduate of Ripon College where he double-majored in Economics and Sport Psychology. Ripon's 2016 S.N. Pickard Award winner, McCoy played four years for Coach Kane on the basketball court, serving as Co-captain for three years. During his career, McCoy appeared in all 98 games, which is tied for third in program history. A four-time Academic All-Conference performer, McCoy was also named All-Conference Second Team as a senior in 2017. That season, McCoy helped the Red Hawks capture the 2017 MWC Tournament Championship and an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Upon his graduation, McCoy ranked fourth in program history for career 3-point percentage (.471), while also ranking seventh for career 3-pointers. He holds Ripon's single season school record for 3-point percentage, shooting 56.4 percent from long-range as a Senior.

A native of Peosta, Iowa, McCoy also currently works as a Donor Relations Assistant in the Advancement Department at Ripon College. He is engaged to Maddie VandenHouten '17, who was a four-year member of Ripon's women's tennis team.
