Tina Delpino joined the Ripon softball coaching staff as an assistant and pitching coach in September 2024.

Delpino joins the Red Hawks after accumulating 30 years of coaching experience at various schools and organizations. In 2013, she was named an assistant coach working with the pitchers/catchers, base running, hitting and many other duties at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Between the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Phoenix went from having a team earned-run average of 3.79 to 2.79 while housing three pitchers with a sub-2.51 ERA. The 2014 team also showed a 12-game improvement and finished the campaign 27-14, including an 11-5 Horizon League record.

In 2016, Delpino was named head coach at West De Pere High School (Wis.) where she led the team for two years before returning to UWGB. The Phoenix went from achieving 4 wins to 13 between years 2017 and 2019, mainly behind Kayla Schwebke’s performance in the circle. In two years, Schwebke won 19 games and had ERAs of 3.30 and 3.31 in addition to 197 strikeouts.

In 2014, Delpino founded Lesson Up, LLC, a sport facility dedicated to training athletes ages 5-18 in various sports. As the owner and head instructor, Delpino and her staff run camps, clinics, small groups, and private lessons to help improve youth and young adult athletic performance.

In college, Delpino committed to Friends University (Kan.) where she participated in softball for one year before transferring to Division l Wichita State University to complete her next three years of eligibility. At Wichita State, she was a three-time first team All-Missouri Valley Conference performer as a pitcher and centerfielder for the Shockers between 1988 and 1992. Delpino studied in Social Work and holds certification in Montessori education and certified under the USA/ACE Coaches Association and NFCA.

Delpino said: "I enjoy being a part of a program that thrives in the student-athlete's overall growth while they’re on such a journey finding themselves. It’s a blessing to be a part of a growing program, coaches, and athletes."
