Red Hawks Lose Dual Meet At Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -
The Ripon women's swim team lost Saturday's dual meet at Lake Forest College by a score of 106-97. The Red Hawks performance was highlighted by two individual first-place finishes and one relay first-place finish.

Emma Goral and Lateesha Hiser led the Red Hawks by winning the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly with times of 29.63 and 1:06.36, respectively. Goral also added a second-place finish in the 800 freestyle (9:50.84). Winona Holmes-Robbins also had an outstanding performance, earning a second place finish in both the 200 freestyle (2:23.10) and 400 freestyle (4:59.49).

In relay competition, Hiser, Holmes-Robbins and Goral teamed up with Hannah Metz to win the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:57.68. Ripon's 200 medley relay team of Metz, Megan Pieper, Gabby Horstmeier and Abby Hilker added a second-place finish with a time of 2:22.05.

Ripon will be in action again next weekend when they'll host Beloit College for a dual meet on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Ripon.
