LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Ripon's women's swim team lost a dual meet to Lake Forest College on Saturday by a score of 153-73.

Although they did not win an event, the Red Hawks placed second in several. Laryssa Vaclavik finished second in the 800 freestyle with a time of 10:41.01, while Winona Holmes-Robbins added a second-place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:14.92. Also finishing second for Ripon during the meet was Janet Koehler in the 100 backstroke (1:20.65) and Gabby Horstmeier in the 100 breaststroke (1:26.16). Horstmeier and Holmes-Robbins also teamed up with Abby Hilker and Hannah Metz to place second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:18.12.

The Red Hawks will try to improve on their times next weekend when they'll travel to Beloit College for a dual meet with the Buccaneers. That meet will begin at 1 p.m. in Beloit, Wis.
