Katie (Carrier) Astrauskas will be inducted into the St. Norbert College Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 14 as part of this year's SNC Hall of Fame Class. Astrauskas, a 2002 graduate, was a four-year letterwinner in women's volleyball for the Green Knights from 1998 to 2001.
A four-time All-Midwest Conference selection, Astrauskas was named MWC Player of the Year in 1998. She was the first player in NCAA Division-III history to have at least 2,000 career kills and 2,000 career digs, and as of 2016 is one of only two players to have achieved that milestone.
Fifteen years after her graduation, Astrauskas still ranks 11th in Division-III history for career kills (2,296). She holds St. Norbert's career record for both kills and attacks (5,426), while also holding the school's single season record for kills (662 in 2001) and attacks (1,603 in 1999). As a senior, Astrauskas finished fifth in Division-III for kills per game (5.47).
Currently in her eighth season as Head Coach of the Ripon College volleyball team, Astrauskas ranks third in program history for career victories (89). She has led the Red Hawks to a 36-31 record in conference play and has coached two players to MWC Player of the Year honors.
