APPLETON, Wis. - Ripon's women's swim team competed at Lawrence's dual meet on Saturday, losing to the Vikings by a score of 158-62.

The Red Hawks saw one first-place finish on the day, as freshman Abby Anderson won the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 12:16.10. Fellow freshman McKenna Bartelme had her second straight good showing, placing second in the 100 Backstroke (1:10.39). Cierra Boutelle also had a nice day, finishing third in both the 50 Freestyle (27.46) and 100 Freestyle (59.26).

In relay competition, Ripon's 200 Freestyle team of Anderson, Boutelle, Alli Roetz, and Katherine King finished first with a time of 1:48.53, which was just 0.23 seconds ahead of the second-best time.

Ripon take next weekend off from competition, before jumping back in the pool on November 10 at 1 p.m. in Beloit, Wis. at the Beloit College Dual.
