WAUKESHA, Wis. - Back in Wisconsin after a trip to sunny Florida, the Ripon College men's swim team defeated Carroll University Friday afternoon by a score of 403-219.
Ripon finished with seven individual first-place finishes on the day, while also winning two relays.
Jack Lutter won both the 50 freestyle (22.93) and 100 butterfly (54.76), while
Alec Sutton won both the 200 IM (2:09.46) and 100 backstroke (1:00.06).
Nate Pakosz also earned a first-place finish in the 100 freestyle (50.60), while
Ethan Ripp and
Ben Georgia were victorious in the 200 freestyle (1:56.79) and 100 breaststroke (1:06.17), respectively.
In relay competition, Ripon's 200 medley team of Georgia, Brendan Finley,
Carson Rose, and
Joe Maddux teamed up to swim a winning time of 1:46.50. Lutter, Ripp, Sutton, and Pakosz also teamed up to win the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:33.41.
Ripon will be in action again on Saturday when they'll host a double dual against St. Norbert and Saint Mary's (Minn.). That meet will begin at 1 p.m. at Willmore Center in Ripon.
