One week after receiving his first career All-Conference nod, Ripon College shortstop
Nick Terrell earned an even higher honor, as he was selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region Third Team. The teams are voted on by members of the ABCA and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division-III All-America Committee.
A junior Exercise Science major from Peoria, Ill., Terrell led the Midwest Conference with 56 hits this season, while ranking second in the league in total bases (94). Starting all 37 games for the Red Hawks, Terrell finished with a team-best batting average of .371, which ranked 12th in the MWC. In addition to that, Terrell led the Red Hawks in doubles (12), triples (1), home runs (8), runs scored (39), stolen bases (11), slugging percentage (.623) and on-base percentage (.418), while ranking second on the team in Runs Batted In (31). He ranked in the top 10 in the MWC in nearly every one of those categories.
One of the highlights of Terrell's 2021 season came at St. Norbert when he smacked three home runs, which is tied for second in program history for a single game. After just two seasons, Terrell already ranks 10th in school history for career stolen bases (22).
