RIPON, Wisconsin – For the second consecutive season, a senior of the Ripon College volleyball program was named to the All-Midwest Conference second team after
Lydia Ellis garnered all-conference accolades as announced by the league on Friday night.
Ellis was the top Red Hawk offensively this season, playing and starting in 26 of 27 matches and earning team-highs in points (254.0), points per set (2.76) and kills per set (2.35). She was also second on the team in total kills (216).
The Dorr, Michigan native had double-digit kill totals in nine matches and hit north of .300 on 12 occasions. Ellis wrapped up her career in a Ripon uniform playing in 109 matches and amassing 685 kills over 385 total sets.
After winning the Midwest Conference regular season title for the 11th consecutive season and earning hosting rights to the MWC Tournament this weekend, Cornell College had a league-high five players selected to the All-Midwest Conference team.
