Meinholz Earns Weekly MWC Award

RIPON, Wisconsin – Luke Meinholz of the Ripon men's basketball program has been named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

A junior from Oconomowoc, Meinholz started the 2023-24 campaign in a big way last week. On Wednesday at St. Norbert, a team receiving votes in the preseason d3hoops.com poll, Meinholz had a career-high 24 points in 43 minutes, shooting 45% from the floor. He also chipped in 8 rebounds, 7 steals and 3 assists. On Saturday at defending American Rivers Conference champion Coe, the junior was efficient once again, totaling 10 points on 57% shooting, adding 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

This is the first career weekly MWC award for Meinholz and the first weekly honor of the season for Ripon as a team.

Ripon will be back in action on Wednesday (November 15) for its first home contest of the season as the Red Hawks take on #18 Carthage. Tipoff from Weiske Gymnasium is scheduled for 7 p.m.
