GRINNELL, Iowa – The Ripon College women's swimming and diving team is fifth after the second day of competition at the MWC Championships.
Grinnell leads the way with 607 points. Lake Forest is second with 585 points while St. Norbert has 393 points. Lawrence (196 points) is fourth. The Red Hawks have 187 points in the nine-team field.
The Red Hawks got on the board on Day 2 when the 200-yard medley relay notched a fifth-place finish in 1:55.94, picking up 28 points. The foursome included
Lauren Bahr,
Sophie Czerwonka,
Anna Bose and
Sky Domingo.
The 100-yard breaststroke saw
Sophie Czerwonka notch an eighth-place finish. She touched the wall in 1:11.03, which was good for 11 points.
The 800-yard freestyle relay featured Domingo, Czerwonka,
Natalie Weidner and Abby Anderson. The quartet accounted for fifth place in the event, which was good enough for 28 points. The four compiled a time of 8:26.38.
The Red Hawks return to action tomorrow for the final day of competition.
