RIPON, Wisconsin –
Michaela Riege of the Ripon volleyball program has been named a second-team All-Midwest Conference selection as announced by the league on Thursday afternoon.
In her first season as a Red Hawk, Riege was one of Ripon's most reliable players. She was fourth in the Midwest Conference regular season with 414 digs, averaging 4.36 per set (third in MWC). The junior was also second in the MWC in service aces, totaling 66 – the second-most single-season service aces in Ripon program history. Playing in all 28 matches, Riege also chipped in 70 assists and four kills.
After winning the Midwest Conference regular season title for the 12th consecutive season, Cornell setter Clare Green was named the MWC Player of the Year. Lawrence's Margaret Hahnke was selected Newcomer of the Year.
