RIPON, Wisconsin – For the first time this season, Luke Meinholz of the Ripon men's basketball program has been named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
 
Meinholz had a big week for Ripon in a pair of games. In Tuesday's tough loss at Carthage, he tied a game-high with 17 points – going 7-of-14 from the field – while adding seven rebounds and three steals. In Saturday's win over UW-Superior, he led all scorers with 19 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds. He chipped in five steals and four assists, going a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line.
 
The senior is now up to 191 career steals, just 21 away from becoming the school's all-time career steals leader. He also leads all of Division III with 37 total steals and 6.2 steals per game this season.
 
This is the third career weekly MWC award for Meinholz and the first weekly honor of the season for Ripon as a team. The Oconomowoc, Wisconsin native previously received weekly accolades by the MWC on November 13 and December 18 last season.
 
Ripon is back in action tomorrow (December 3) as the Red Hawks host UW-Oshkosh at 7 p.m. inside Weiske Gymnasium.
