RIPON, Wisconsin – After hitting nearly .500 over three games last weekend in Indiana, Kyler Hickman has been named the Midwest Conference Positional Performer of the Week as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
 
Hickman had a scorching start to the 2024 season, hitting .462 over three games (6-for-13) with a 1.346 OPS. He had six hits total against Hope, #15 Aurora and Benedictine with a pair of doubles and a home run. The 2023 MWC Newcomer of the Year also had four RBI and scored four times.
 
This is the first career weekly honor for Hickman and the first weekly honor of the season for Ripon. It is the Red Hawks' first MWC Positional Performer of the Week award in baseball since April 25, 2022 when Samuel Ott was honored.
 
Ripon starts its spring break trip on Saturday, March 9 in Auburndale, Florida as the Red Hawks face Illinois Wesleyan at 11:30 a.m. CT.
