RIPON, Wisconsin – After helping Ripon score 26 runs in three games over the weekend,
Nick Tenny of the Red Hawks' baseball program has been named the Midwest Conference Positional Performer of the Week as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
Tenny was an on-base machine for Ripon in the Red Hawks' series at Illinois College. Offensively, he went 5-for-9 (.555), scoring five times and driving home two runs. Additionally, he walked four times in Saturday's first game against the Blueboys. In three games, the senior was on base 10 times in 14 plate appearances (71.4%) as Ripon won its first Midwest Conference series of the season.
This is the first career weekly honor for Tenny and the second weekly honor of the season for Ripon. Previously,
Kyler Hickman was honored on February 26 with the MWC Positional Performer of the Week honor.
Ripon returns to action on Tuesday, April 9 as the Red Hawks host Carthage for a 3 p.m. midweek matchup.
