RIPON, Wisconsin – Ryan Davis,
Jayden Fitch,
William Ryan,
Connor Spielvogel and
Cade Tackmier of the Ripon men's basketball program have been selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court as announced by the NABC on Monday.
Davis, a senior business management and psychology major from Fredericksburg, Texas, appeared in 11 games in the 2023-24 season. His career-high nine points off the bench on Senior Day against Knox in February sparked Ripon and started a stretch of five consecutive wins to end the regular season, putting the Red Hawks in the 2024 Midwest Conference Tournament.
Fitch, a junior business management major from Fall Creek, Wisconsin, made an impact off the bench in his first season as a Red Hawk. He played in 24 games and shot 48.4% from the field (46-of-95), averaging 4.3 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per contest.
Ryan, a senior political science major from Northfield, Illinois, played in 25 out of a possible 26 games and made 12 starts, logging over 18 minutes per game. He averaged 4.7 points per game, 2.8 rebounds per game and was second on the team with 37 steals. Ryan was also fourth on the team in assists, dishing out 29.
Spielvogel, a senior exercise science major from Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, had one of the best three-point shooting seasons any Red Hawk has ever had. He made 71 threes in 2023-24, third-most for a single season in program history. Playing in all 26 games, Spielvogel shot 44.7% from deep and 42.3% (74-of-175) from the field. He averaged 8.8 points and 2.6 boards per game.
Tackmier, a senior exercise science major from Peshtigo, Wisconsin, appeared in all 26 games and made 23 starts last season. Scoring a career-high 23 points in the game, Tackmier's game-winning jumper propelled Ripon past nationally ranked Illinois College in January. He was second on the team in minutes (30.7/game), points (12.2/game), assists (54) and made field goals (114). The senior scored in double figures 18 times throughout the season, and in each of the final five regular season contests.
