RIPON, Wis. -- Four members of the Ripon volleyball program have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the organization today.
Lainie Heizler, Samantha Differt, Michaela Riege and Makenna Harren earned the distinction for their combined success on the court and in the classroom during the 2025 season.
Heizler, a senior majoring in biology and environmental studies from Park Falls, Wisconsin, started all 28 matches for the Red Hawks in 2025. She recorded 179 kills and ranked sixth in the Midwest Conference in hitting percentage (.235). Heizler was also fourth in the league in both blocks (70) and blocks per set (0.70), while adding seven assists, 19 service aces and 16 digs.
Riege, a senior sports management major from Waterloo, Wisconsin, appeared in all 28 matches during the 2025 campaign. The Bryant & Stratton transfer ranked third in the Midwest Conference in both total digs (398) and digs per set (4.02), while also finishing 15th in the league in service aces (36). Riege added eight kills and 90 assists on the season.
Differt, a senior biology major from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, competed in all 28 matches and made one start in 2025. She totaled 206 digs and 29 service aces, while also contributing three kills, 13 assists and one block.
Harren, a sophomore elementary education major from Rosemount, Minnesota, was named a Second Team All-Midwest Conference selection after appearing in all 28 matches and making 11 starts. She ranked third in the conference in both kills (303) and kills per set (3.19) and finished 11th in the league in hitting percentage (.186). Harren also recorded four assists, 35 digs and seven blocks during the season.
Ripon finished the 2025 season with a 9-19 overall record, including a 3-5 mark in Midwest Conference play.
