RIPON, Wis. -- The Ripon College baseball program was named a 2024-2025 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) / Sports Attack Academic Excellence Award winner, as announced by the ABCA and Sports Attack this Wednesday, July 23. 

Awarded to programs led by ABCA member coaches, teams must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the academic year to qualify. This year, 440 college programs were recognized for achieving this mark. 

2024-2025 marks the second consecutive school year Ripon baseball has received ABCA/Sports Attack Academic Excellence honors. The Red Hawks would also earn an individual academic award last season, with junior Alex Pankratz (Waupaca, Wis., Waupaca HS) being named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
