MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - </strong>The Ripon men's tennis team lost both their matches on Saturday, falling to St. Ambrose University, 7-2, before losing to Cornell College, 8-1.<br />

In Ripon's first match of the day, the Red Hawks (0-3) earned both team points against St. Ambrose in doubles play. At the top doubles flight, Eric Seiler and Connor Greenwald were victorious by a score of 8-3. Brian Schumacher and Ryan Slowinski followed that with a win at number two doubles. In sigles play, Greenwald narrowly lost his match at the number two flight by a score of 6-4, 6-4.<br />

Against Cornell, Ripon's only team point again came in doubles play, as the team of Seiler and Greenwald won at the top flight by a score of 8-6. In singles play, Greenwald and Schumacher put up fights at the second and fourth flights, respectively, before losing 6-4, 6-4 and 6-3, 6-4.<br />

The Red Hawks will be in action again on Sunday against Buena Vista University. That match will begin at 9 a.m. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
