Red Hawks End Regular Season In Style

Playing in their final regular season match of the regular season, the Ripon men's tennis team made it a memorable one, defeating Marian University, 9-0. The Red Hawks won all six singles matches, while winning all three of their doubles matches by a combined score of 24-7.

In doubles play, the top flight team of Eric Seiler and Connor Greenwald won 8-2. That was followed by victories from the teams of Ryan Slowinski/Brian Schumacher (8-3) and Anders Goodwin/Tyler Hopewell I8-2) at number two and three doubles, respectively.

In singles play, Seiler had his work cut out for him at the top flight, winning 6-4, 5-7, 11-9, while Slowinski also edged the competition at the number three flight, 7-5, 1-6, 10-2. The other four singles matches were a little easier, as Greenwald won 6-1, 6-1 at the number two flight, Schumacher won 6-0, 6-0 at number four, Goodwin won 6-3, 6-0 at number five and Hopewell won 6-1, 6-0 at number the number six flight.

Ripon will now prepare for the Midwest Conference Championships, which will take place on April 27-28 at Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison, Wis.
