FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Ripon battled Monmouth Saturday afternoon in a battle of two inter-division Midwest Conference teams. The Fighting Scots came out on top, defeating the Red Hawks 7-2, as Ripon managed to win two singles matches, while losing all three matches in doubles.

In singles play, Eric Seiler and Jeffrey Grinde were victorious for the Red Hawks (1-10). Seiler won his top flight match 6-2, 0-6, 10-6, while Grinde was victorious at the number six position by a score of 7-6 (7-5), 6-4. Monmouth (6-9) outscored Ripon in doubles play by a combined score of 24-4.

The Red Hawks will try to get back on the winning track on Saturday when they'll play Lakeland College at 3 p.m. That match will take place at Center Court in Fond du Lac.
