KOHLER, Wis. - The Ripon men's tennis team picked up their first win of the 2015 season Wednesday night, defeating Lakeland College 5-3. Ripon won three of the top five singles matches, while the sixth was unfinished due to time. The Red Hawks also took two of the three doubles matches, outscoring Lakeland in doubles competition, 18-14.

In singles play, Eric Seiler continued his domination this season, winning 6-0, 6-0 to improve his 2015 record to 9-2. Lincoln Wurtz was also victorious at the number two flight, winning 7-6 (7-5), 6-4, while Nick Julian won at the fifth flight, 7-5, 6-7 (7-9), 6-2.

Seiler and Wurtz teamed up in doubles play to win at the top flight by a score of 8-0. J.J. Grinde and Pheng Vang were also victorious at the third flight, 8-6.

Ripon (1-10) will try to keep their momentum going on Saturday when they'll play Knox and Monmouth at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
