GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Ripon men's tennis team opened their 2015 conference season Saturday afternoon with a pair of 8-1 losses to Knox and Monmouth.

Knox (2-13) won all six singles matches, while taking two of the three doubles matches against the Red Hawks (1-12). Ripon's only win came at number three doubles where J.J. Grinde and Pheng Vang teamed up to win by a score of 8-4. 

Ripon's second match of the day ended with the same result, as Monmouth (9-8) won all three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-2. The Fighting Scots also won five of the six singles matches, with Ripon's only win coming at the top flight, where Eric Seiler was victorious, 3-6, 6-1 (10-5).

The Red Hawks will be back in action again on Sunday when they'll battle Illinois College at 9 a.m.
