FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Ripon men's tennis team opened their 2016 season Friday night with a 9-0 loss to Concordia (Wis.). The Red Hawks lost all six singles matches, while losing the three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-6.

Ripon was most competitive at the number two flight where Lincoln Wurtz lost in three sets, 1-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-8). Wurtz and J.J. Grinde also teamed up at number one doubles to fall by a score of 8-3.

The Red Hawks will be in action again on Saturday when they'll face MSOE. That match will begin at 3 p.m. at Center Court in Fond du Lac, Wis.
