QUINCY, Ill. - Ripon put up a fight Sunday against Illinois College, but ultimately fell to the Blueboys by a score of 6-3.

The Red Hawks (0-12, 0-4 MWC) won two of the six singles matches. John Merwin was victorious at the number four flight (6-3, 6-3), while Steven Lanphier won his number six flight 6-1, 3-6, 10-7. In doubles play, Illinois College (2-11, 1-3 MWC) won the first two matches, before Ripon's number three team of Lanphier and Ben Ermatinger won by a score of 8-3.

Ripon will be in action again on Tuesday against Lakeland College. That match will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Larson Courts in Ripon.
