RIPON, Wis. - One day after defeating Lakeland, Ripon didn't fare as well against another NACC team, losing to Marian University 6-3. The Red Hawks won three of the six singles matches, but dropped all three matches in double competition.

In singles play, Lincoln Wurtz won at the top flight by a score of 6-4, 7-6 (10-8), while J.J. Grinde and Ben Ermatinger were also victorious at the second and sixth flights, respectively, winning by scores of 6-1, 3-6, 11-9 and 6-4, 6-1. Ripon (1-13) lost all three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-9.

The Red Hawks will try to get back in the win column on Sunday when they'll travel to Carroll University and Lake Forest College at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
