RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's tennis team christened the Willmore Center Saturday with its first home matches in the brand new Fieldhouse. The Red Hawks dropped their first match in the morning to UW-LaCrosse by a score of 9-0, before losing their afternoon match 8-1 to the University of Dubuque.

In their first match of the day, Ripon lost all six singles matches, while losing all three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-2. Their most competitive match came at the number four singles flight where Emilio Tijerino lost 6-0, 6-2.

The day's second match saw the Red Hawks win one of the six singles matches, while losing all three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-9. Ripon's lone win came from Tijerino at the number four singles flight, as he defeated his opponent by a score of 3-6, 7-5, 10-7.

Ripon will look to rebound with a pair of matches on February 17. They will battle Simpson College at 9 a.m. on that day, before taking on Northwestern (Minn.) in the afternoon.
