Box Score 2 STEVENS POINT, Wisconsin – The Ripon men's tennis program played two of its three fall matches on Friday, falling to St. Norbert and Stevens Point at a tri-event hosted by UWSP.
Against SNC (1-1), Ripon (0-1) was ultra-competitive in doubles as the pairing of
Jaden Francis and
Ty Rondestvedt were 8-4 winners on court two.
Clayton Counts and
Caleb Sippel dropped court one in doubles on a tiebreak.
In singles, Rondestvedt was another winner, defeating Josh Brown 7-6, 6-2 on court three for the Red Hawks' lone singles win.
In the match against the Pointers (2-0), Counts and Sippel earned a commanding 8-2 win on court one for Ripon's (0-2) only win of the match.
NEXT UP: Ripon is off for two and a half weeks before playing its final dual match of the fall. The Red Hawks travel to Dubuque on Wednesday, September 20 for a 3 p.m. match against the Spartans.
