RIPON, Wisconsin – After 18 saves over the last two games,
Andreanna Wilke of the Ripon women's soccer program has been named the Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
As has been customary this season, Wilke was effective once again in goal for the Red Hawks last week, collecting 18 saves across matches against Edgewood and Illinois College to help Ripon tie Edgewood 0-0 and IC 1-1. Wilke is second in career saves in the Ripon record books and is currently 11th in all of Division III in save percentage (.956), 15th in shutouts (4), 16th in saves (65) and 40th in saves per game (8.12).
For her efforts, she was also named the Red Hawk of the Week earlier on Monday morning for the first time this school year.
This is Wilke's second career weekly award by the Midwest Conference. She previously was named the league's Defensive Performer of the Week on October 10, 2022.
Ripon is back in action on Tuesday (September 26) as the Red Hawks host Lake Forest College at Prairie Field. First touch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
