The Ripon College Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 1979 by the Alumni Association Board of Directors to recognize alumni and coaches who have distinguished themselves through their participation in Ripon athletic programs. Thirteen individuals were to be inducted in the first two years with not more than two inductees in each following year.

If, in the discretion of the nominations committee of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, more nominees would be warranted in any given year, the maximum may reach as high as six, preferably four.

The criteria for Athletic Hall of Fame membership are:

          1.        That the selection be determined by the nomination committee of theÂ
                       Alumni Association Board of Directors upon recommendations from a special Hall of
                       Fame selection committee. This special committee will include current and past
                       members of the coaching staff, the Alumni Director and at least one alumnus.

           2.        That selection be base on outstanding accomplishments while participating
                       in athletics at Ripon.
Â
           3.        That one’s Ripon class must be out of college at least 10 years before a
                       candidate can become eligible for induction.

           4.        That Ripon College coaches and deceased alumni may be named to this
                       honor.
