Joseph J. Kroncke '97 is one of the best defensive linemen in Ripon College football history. A two-time All-Conference selection, Kroncke helped Ripon to a Midwest Conference North Division Championship in 1995, while serving as Team Captain on their 1996 conference championship team. Kroncke graduated with the fifth-most quarterback sacks in school history (11) and the third-highest single season total, recording seven in 1996. He was part of a defense that had allowed the 10th-fewest single season rushing yards in school history at the time of his induction (119.9 ypg).
