In his three years of eligibility, Phil Holm started all 24 of the Ripon Redmen football team’s games. As offensive center, Holm was key in obtaining the Redmen’s 21-2-1 record from 1962-64. In each year of his college football career, Phil Holm was selected for All-Conference distinction. In his senior year, Holm and teammate Pete Cooper were honored with unanimous All-Conference selections. Phil Holm was chosen for the UPI Collegiate All-State team while playing as a junior on the undefeated 1963 Redmen squad. During Holm’s senior year, the Redmen repeated their Midwest Conference championship title, while again being named to the UPI Collegiate All-State team. Holm’s athletic achievements were also impressive on the golf course where he won a letter for each of his three years of varsity play. As a senior, Phil Holm was captain of the golf team and conference co-medalist with scores of 74 and 72 for the 36-hole event.
