Hall of Fame
Al Long played a key role on two Midwest Conference Championship football teams during his career at Ripon College. A three-time MWC First Team selection, he played running back for legendary head coach John Storzer. Long finished his career with the most rushing touchdowns in school history (32), a mark that stood for 25 years and ranked fourth all-time at the time of his induction, 45 years later. He also graduated with the second-most rushing yards in school history (2,637), which raned sixth at the time of his induction.

Long was named to the Little All-Phi Team as a senior in 1968 after setting a single-season school record with 13 touchdowns, which stood for 22 years. Arguably Long's greatest game came against Knox in 1968 when he tied a school record with 230 rushing yards, which stood for 14 more years and ranked sixth at the time of his induction.
