Ripon College Athletics

Julie Johnson coached the Red Hawk women’s golf, softball and basketball teams. She began serving as head coach of the women’s basketball team in 1990 and led her team to Midwest Conference North Division Championships in 1995 and 1996. She also led the Red Hawks to a Midwest Conference Championship in 1996, 2004, 2005 and 2009. She received the Midwest Conference Coach of the Year award in each of those seasons, which also saw Ripon participate in the NCAA Division-III Tournament. In 2004, Johnson was named NCAA Women’s Basketball Central Region Coach of the Year. She was named Ripon College's first female Athletic Director in May of 2010.
