Ripon College Athletics

Peter Cooper had the reputation of being one of the toughest defensive middle guards in the Midwest Conference while on Ripon College football squads that won conference championships in 1963, 1964 and 1965. His tough and reckless manner on the gridiron was contrasted with the concentration and finesse he used as a top player on the Redmen golf team which had the highest finish ever by a Ripon team in Midwest Conference competition. A two year selection to the All-Midwest Conference football squad, by unanimous vote in his senior year, Cooper was also co-MVP of the 1965 football team.
