David G. Billings ’06 is arguably the greatest long distance runner in Ripon College history. Billings is the only two-time NCAA Cross Country Championships qualifier in Ripon history and is the only runner to record a sub-25 minute time in the 8K, accomplishing that feat twice. The only four-time All-Conference performer in Ripon’s men’s cross country history, Billings holds the school record with an 8K time of 24:42. In track & field, Billings was a three-time conference champion in the Outdoor 5000 meters, two-time conference champion in both the Indoor 5000 and Outdoor 10,000, and one-time conference champion in the Indoor 3000 and Outdoor 1500. He graduated with school records in the Indoor 3000 and 5000, Outdoor 5000 and Indoor Distance Medley Relay.
