Ripon College Athletics

Lori “Dewi” Oleson was the first woman All-American at Ripon College. A four-year track standout, Oleson was a consistent top-finisher in the middle-distance events. Winning conference track titles in her freshman and sophomore years, “Dewi” captured three conference titles in the one-half mile and mile runs as well as the mile relay event. “Dewi” set the Ripon College record for the one-mile, 1500-meter and 800-meter runs. In national competition, she placed fifth in the 1500-meter event and seventh in the 800 at the Division-III Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women meet in 1981.
