While at Ripon College, Brock distinguished himself as one of the finest linebackers in Ripon's storied football history. He was named First-Team All-Conference all four years and was selected Third-Team All-American in both 1996 and 1997. Brock was named Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 1996, the same year the Red Hawks earned Coach Ron Ernst the first of his two MWC titles. Goehler is still holds the school record for most tackles in a game (19) and ranks second in school history for tackles in a single season (118) and in a career (348).
