Janine A. Emmer '05 was a two-sport star at Ripon College, as a basketball and volleyball player. She earned Midwest Conference Player of the Year honors in both sports, earning that award twice on the basketball court. As a basketball player, Emmer was also a two-time All-American and All-Region selection. A part of two MWC Championship teams, Emmer graduated as the program's career leader in steals, while finishing fifth in points, second in blocks, and third in rebounds. As a volleyball player, Emmer was a four-time All-Conference performer, earning All-Region honors as a senior. She finished her career as the program's leader in both kills and digs, while ranking third in blocks and service aces.
